Mary J. Sullivan
DRACUT Mary J. (Driscoll) Sullivan, 90, of Dracut, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 3, 2013. She was the widow of Gerald J. Sullivan who passed away in 1997. Mary was the loving mother of the late Gerald J. Sullivan Jr. who passed away unexpectedly in 1962 at the age of twelve.
A daughter of the late Maurice and the late Mary Jane (Colgan) Driscoll, she was born July 7, 1923, in Lowell. She was educated in the Lowell School System, graduating from Lowell High School.
Mary worked as a clerk for the University of Massachusetts at Lowell for sixteen years before her retirement in 1986. She made her home in Lowell before residing in Dracut, and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church.
Mary is survived by her sister Evelyn Stringer and her husband, Eugene, of Bishop, Texas. Mary was the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her husband, and her son, she was predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth "Betty" Dunn, Patrick "Paddy" Driscoll, Kathleen "Kay" Bowles, and John Driscoll.
