Mary F. ‘Mimi’ Richardson

HAMPTON, NH Mary F. ‘Mimi’ (O’Brien) Richardson, 78, of Hampton, NH, passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Richardson who passed away in 2004.
She was born in Lowell on October 9, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Ralph T. and the late Ann M. (Dunleavy) O’Brien. Mary was raised in Lowell where she lived most of her life. She attended the area schools, graduating from Lowell High School with the class of 1955. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish.
Mary previously lived in Chelmsford where she was a communicant of St. Mary Parish. She was employed at Wang Laboratories for over 18 years before her retirement. Mary was very energetic and enjoyed life to the fullest. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach, at family gatherings, and taking trips. Mary was exceptionally proud of her family and her Irish heritage.
She is survived by her five children, Ralph T. Richardson and his wife, Jody of Tyngsboro, Thomas E. Richardson and his wife, Wendy of Windham, Margaret M. Delorme of Hampton, Joanne Smith and her husband, Paul of Tyngsboro, and Mary F. Santos and her husband, Jeffrey of Dracut. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren, Joseph and Alyssa Delorme, Jaclyn and Ryan Richardson, Zachary, Alexandra, and Nicholas Smith, Nicole, Rachel, Alison, Joseph and Jeffrey Santos, and Reilly and Madelyn Richardson; her two sisters, Alice Santos of Lowell and Joanne Connell of Westford; her brother in law, Bernard B. Richardson and his wife, Bettyann, of Dracut; and her lifelong friends, Rita Ramalho and Joan Hart. Mary was predeceased by her brother, the late Ralph O’Brien, her brothers in law Arthur "Herky" Santos and Daniel Connell. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her beloved dog, Mayzie
The family would like to thank Dr. David Pickul and the staff at Mill City Medical in Lowell for their compassion and support throughout this time.


ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4-8 P.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.

ON TUESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 10 A.M.. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT 11 A.M. AT ST. MARY PARISH, 25 NORTH ROAD, CHELMSFORD. BURIAL AT ST. PATRICK CEMETERY IN LOWELL.
