Mary (Barros) Hudon
LOWELL Mary (Machado)(Barros) Hudon, 96, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. Mary was a longtime resident at Lord Manor Apartments, then a resident of Merrimack River Valley House, and more recently lived at the Saab Residence at D'Youville Manor.
She was born on February 23, 1920, a daughter of the late Manuel and the late Wilhelmina Machado. She was married to the late Leo Barros who passed away in 1965 and was the widow of the late Gerard E. Hudon who passed away in 1989.
She worked at Heinze Electric until it closed, and then was a longtime employee of the Honeywell Corporation. After she retired, Mary was a volunteer for the Community Teamwork Program, and was a foster grand parent for twenty years, and loved the years she spent at Childrens’ Corner.
A member of the Womans’ Democratic Club, she served as the Treasurer for many years.
She is survived by her son, Leonard Barros and his wife, Lisa, of Dunstable; her daughter, Lois Tabaldi and her husband, David, of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Lenny Barros Jr. and Angela Barros and Lisa Lundeen; four great grandchildren, Jesse Barros, Katrina Lundeen and Molly Lundeen, and Braedan LaBrie. Mary was also the Godmother of Tyler Struss who resides in Vermont.
Mary was the grandmother of the late Adam Barros and the late Dan LaBrie, and sister of the late George Machado and the late Fred Machado.

HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 1 P.M. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
