Mrs. Mary A. Broderick
Life long Lowell resident

LOWELL - Mrs. Mary A. (Brooks) Broderick, 82, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Monday, December 3, 2012, at her home. She was the widow of the late Martin F. Broderick, Sr. who died October 25, 1985.
Born April 24, 1930, in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late William and the late Mary (Grourke) Brooks, attended St. Peter's Grammar School and graduated from Lowell High School.
Mrs. Broderick made her home in Belvidere since 1959, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She had worked for more than eighteen years for Raytheon Corporation in West Andover until her retirement, and was a member of R.E.A.A., the Raytheon Employee Association, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #1505. She was also a member of the Lowell Senior Center, the Dracut Senior Citizens the Centraville Social Club and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by four children, Gail A. Mitchell and her husband, Paul, of Lowell, Susan M. Spanos and her husband, Paul, of Dracut, John J. Broderick of Lowell, and Michael J. Broderick; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Wise and her husband, John, of Uxbridge, James Spanos and his wife, Jennifer, of Tyngsboro, Samantha Spanos of Dracut, Brianna Montgomery of Jacksonville, FL, Brittany Broderick of Lowell, Brendan M. Broderick of Lowell, and Michael J. Broderick, Jr. of Wilmington; two great grandchildren, Aaron Spanos and Colin Spanos both of Tyngsboro.
She is also the sister-in-law of Margaret Cole of Chelmsford, Mary Lewis of Lowell, Kay Brooks of Lowell, Joseph Broderick of Nashua, NH, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Martin F. Broderick Jr., who died October 4, 2011, sister of the late Henry I. Brooks who died November 3, 1993 and mother-in-law of the late Sharon D. (Moncsko) Broderick who died March 16, 2003.
