Martha A. Hartley
LOWELL Martha A. Hartley, 69, of Lowell, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and the late Ellen (Murphy) Hartley.
Born July 9, 1945, in Lowell, she was educated in the Lowell Schools. She made her home in Dracut for many years before returning to live in the Highlands Section of the City. She worked as an engineer’s assistant at Loral Inc. in Lexington for more than twenty five years before her retirement.
In addition to spending time with her brothers and sisters and her nieces and nephews and their children, she was very artistic and liked painting and doing ceramics.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Kijanka and her husband, Mitchell, of Chelmsford; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Alice M. Degnan, the late Ann C. DiBiase, the late Robert P. Hartley, the late Joseph E. Hartley, the late Mary A. Kittredge, and the late Eleanor R. Beaudoin.
