Marion L. Sherman

LOWELL       Marion L. (Lescard) Sherman, 89, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 19, 2018, with her loving family at her side.   She was the widow of the late Raymond C. Sherman who died at the age of thirty four.

     A daughter of the late Leo L. and the late Emma A. (Roberto) Lescard, she was born November 28, 1928, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools graduating from Lowell High School, and further graduating from the Tewksbury State Hospital School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

     She made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford.  She worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell, Princeton House Nursing Home, and Country View Nursing Home in North Billerica. 

     Marion was a proud mother and grandmother, and was very family oriented and loved seeing and doing things with her large family.  She had also taken care of her siblings and her mother.  In addition she enjoyed sewing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.

      Her survivors include her daughters, Nancy S. Walsh of Lowell and Linda Shepard and her husband, Daniel, of Tyngsboro; her grandchildren, Joel G. Walsh, Steven J. Walsh and his wife, Erin Leddy, and Lincy A. Walsh, all of Lowell; her brother, Donald Lescard and his wife, Ann, of Tyngsboro; her sisters, Ethel Gamache and her husband, Leon, of North Chelmsford, Beverly Lescard of North Chelmsford, and Ellen Lescard of Lowell; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Lili.

     She was also a sister of the late Robert E. Lescard, the late Doris M. Lescard, the late Barbara E. Lescard, the late Carolyn Sousa, and the late Claire H. Brady.

      YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 3 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY.   ON FRIDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 10 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. 

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED FRIDAY AT ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 115 MIDDLESEX STREET, NORTH CHELMSFORD AT 11 A.M..  BURIAL IN TYNGSBORO CEMETERY. 

FLOWERS WILL BE ACCEPTED OR YOU CAN MAKE A DONATION TO THE CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE IN HER NAME.
