Maria Rosa Baltazar
"Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother"
LOWELL Maria Rosa Baltazar, 84, of Lowell, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness with her family by her side. She was the widow of the late David S. Baltazar who died in 1995.
A daughter of the late Manuel De Melo Peixoto and the late Melania (Vieira) Peixoto, she was born May 22, 1928, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. While living in Portugal, she stayed home to take care of her family. In 1970, she came to the United States with her family, settling in Lowell’s Back Central Street Area.
Maria was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and enjoyed cooking, especially for her children and grand children. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, especially ‘Sueca’.
She is survived by her children, Joe M. Baltazar and his wife, Maria, of Lowell, David S. Baltazar and his wife, Lisa, Lowell, and Charlie Baltazar and his companion, Candida Huyser, of Grafton; her grandchildren, Lisa M. Brown and her husband, Harold, Brian Baltazar, Sandra L. Borges and her husband, Alex, Bruce Baltazar, and Rachel Cathcart and her husband, James; her great grandchildren, Ava Rose, Landen, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews
She was also a sister of the late Conceicao Peixoto, Ines Peixoto, Gloria Peixoto, Idalina Peixoto, Manuel Peixoto and the late Joseph Peixoto.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL ST., LOWELL AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN LOWELL CEMETERY.
