Maria Christina (Cunha) Butkiewicz
LOWELL Maria Cristina (Cunha) Butkiewicz, 79, of Lowell, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Adam Butkiewicz, in 1987.
Born May 14, 1930, in Brazil to Doratea Marques, she was educated in Brazil and came to the United States with her family in 1952.
She worked for over twenty years at Commodore Foods in Lowell, and later worked for Wang Industries until her retirement. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Lowell. Maria was a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed cooking, and will be sorely missed by her family.
She is survived by her son, Steve Cunha and his wife, Sheila, OF Pompano Beach, FL, her son, Daniel daCunha and his wife, Philomena, of Lowell, her daughter, Charlotte DiGiandomenico and her husband, Mario, of Dedham, her daughter, Dorothy Chamberland of Dracut, her daughter, Donna Cunha of Winthrop, and her son, Robert Cunha and his wife, Deanna, of Hookset; her twelve grandchildren, Jonathan Cunha, Sarah Cunha, Derek daCunha, Jason daCunha, Samuel DiGiandomencio, Marie DiGiandomencio, Thomas Chamberland, Joseph Chamberland, John Chamberland, Cameron Cunha, Madison Cunha, and Cadence Cunha; her friend, Rosalina Mendonca, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother in law of the late Dennis Chamberland
