Margaret M. Rynne
Lifelong Belvidere Resident
LOWELL Margaret M. (McDonough) Rynne, 94, a lifelong Lowell resident, died after a brief illness on March 31, 2012 at Saints Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Elmer P. Rynne who passed away in 1995.
A daughter of the late John L. McDonough and the late Margaret E. (Moloney) McDonough, she was born September 16, 1917, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, attending St. Peters Grammar School, graduating from Keith Hall. She also attended Mount Saint Mary College in Halifax, Nova Scotia before receiving her Bachelor's Degree from Framingham State College.
Formerly of Fairmount Street, Mrs. Rynne made her lifelong home in the Belvidere Section of the City, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was Vice President of the original Lull and Hartford Sporting Goods in downtown Lowell also a member of the Seton Guild, the Lowell Catholic College Club, Vesper Country Club, the Guild of the Infant Savior, and the Ladies of St. John’s Hospital. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to many, her favorite past times were cooking for family and friends, an interest in antiquing, and reading. She also enjoyed the challenge of knitting Aran Irish sweaters.
She is survived by her children, Michael V. Rynne MD and his wife, Barbara, of Murrells Inlet, SC, Martha M. Benesh and her husband, Frank, of Jackson, NH, Elmer P. Rynne Jr. and his wife, Linda of Methuen, MA, Margaret S. Fuller RN and her husband, David of Lowell, Ann P. Potoczak and her husband, Steven of Concord, NH, Sean Rynne and his wife, Jennifer of Winchester; her nephew, Matthew McDonough and his wife, Candace of West Newton; her daughter in law, Lucinda J. Rynne of Lowell; her grandchildren, Meaghan Rynne, Brendan Rynne, and Connor Rynne, Hank Benesh and Kathryne Benesh, Ryan Fuller and Sara (Fuller) Kurczewski, Emily Potoczak and Andrew Potoczak, Tyler Rynne, Molly Rynne, and Charlie Rynne, and Jill Horgan; her sisters, Virginia MacLellan of Tewksbury and Constance McInerney of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Attorney Robert E. Rynne, and sister of the late Joseph M. McDonough, the late John L. McDonough, the late Eleanor D. Wilson, and the late Elizabeth Lynch.
