Margaret E. (Crispo) Bubanas


LOWELL    Margaret E. (Crispo) Bubanas, 90, of Lowell, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at her home. She was the widow of the late Nicholas Bubanas who passed away in 2008.


    She was born in Wilmington, MA on February 4, 1928 and was a daughter of the late Joseph Crispo and the late Margaret (Travers) Crispo. She  was raised in Wilmington, where she attended the area schools. 


    Margaret resided in the Highlands neighborhood of Lowell and was a communicant of Holy Family Parish.  She  was a communicant of the former Notre Dame De Lourdes Parish, and a member of the Ladies Sodaility.  She was employed as a lab technician at Dupont, until her retirement in 1991. She enjoyed reading, taking bus trips to Atlantic City, and watching western films. She also loved cooking and eating.


    She is survived by her four children, Andrew Bubanas of Effingham, NH, Catherine Blydenburgh and her significant other, Joseph Powers Jr. of Lowell, Maureen Chartier and her significant other, Joseph Rondeau of Lowell, and Mary Ellen Schaefer and her husband, William of Lowell; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings, John Crispo of Seabrook, NH, Joseph Crispo Jr. and his wife, Dorothy of Westford, Claire Troy of Wilmington, and Mona Chase and her husband, Adrene of Wilmington; her best friend, Joan Roddy of Billerica; her dog, Teddy; and many nieces and nephews.


    Margaret was also the sister of the late Charlotte Masgula; and sister in law of the late Joseph Troy and the late Mitzi Crispo.

           YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY, JULY 19.  

ON FRIDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. 

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED FRIDAY AT HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 30 GRAFTON STREET, LOWELL, AT 10 A.M.. 

BURIAL IN HOLY TRINITY CEMETERY. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS,

DONATIONS IN HER NAME MAY BE MADE TO: SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL, C/O HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 30 GRAFTON STREET, LOWELL, MA 01852.
