Manuel Teles Goncalves
TYNGSBORO Manuel Teles Goncalves, 70, of Tyngsboro, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, unexpectedly after a car accident. He was the husband of Ondina Lurdes Goncalves.
Born May 20, 1938, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Jaime C. and the late Januaria (Lurdes) Goncalves, and was educated in Portugal. He came to the United States in 1978, making his home in Lowell, before residing in Tyngsboro since 1990.
Manuel enjoyed gardening, traveling, visiting his friends, supporting his favorite soccer team Benfica, and taking walks on the boulevard with his wife. He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
In addition to his wife Ondina, he is survived by a daughter, Kelly Soares and her husband, Tony, of Tyngsboro; a son, Manuel Goncalves and his wife, Jenny, of Lowell; three grandchildren, Elder Soares and his girlfriend, Shealagh Dinneen, of Tyngsboro, Stacie Soares and her boyfriend, Mickey Williams, of Tyngsboro, and Damian Goncalves of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was the also the husband of the late Vitalina Goncalves who passed away in 2003, and brother of the late Arlindo Goncalves.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH AT 9 A.M..
