Luise G. (Gansler) DeMichelis
LOWELL Luise G. (Gansler) DeMichelis, 78, of Lowell, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of Chester DeMichelis with whom she was to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on July 23.
She was born in Lowell on October 28, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Alfred Gansler and the late Arlene (Claus) Gansler. She was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1959, where she served as a girl officer.
Luise worked with Sears and Roebuck for over 30 years before her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and watching TV. She was also a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lowell for many years.
Besides her beloved husband, Chester, she is survived by their 3 children; Paul DeMichelis and his wife, Jeannette of Pelham, NH, Alan DeMichelis and his wife, Patricia of Loudon, NH and Elise Christman and her husband, Peter of Lowell, 6 grandchildren; Jon DeMichelis, Ashley DeMichelis, Christa DeMichelis, Shawn Christman and his wife, Hilliary Tanya Hamilton and her husband, Daniel, and Alex Christman; and 1 great granddaughter, Kennedy Elise Christman, due in November.
She was predeceased by her sister, the late Nancy Barrett.
