Linda Ann (Mansfield) Trudel
Of Lowell, MA

LOWELL - Linda Ann Mansfield Trudel, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday May 31, 2011, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer.

Linda was the loving wife and best friend to Mark McKay Trudel with whom she would have celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on June 10th.

She was born in Lowell, on April 2, 1950, the daughter of Alice Winters of Lowell, MA and the late James V. Winters.

Linda was a loving, caring and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed time with her family, friends, trips to the White Mountains and vacations in Aruba. Prior to her illness forced retirement, Linda was employed as Office Manager for the Merrimack Repertory Theater (MRT). Linda’s early work history included Grants Discount Store, Licensed Hair Stylist, CTI Fuel Assistance Program and Wang Laboratory. Linda achieved many accomplishments and was passionate about many causes but what truly motivated her was her work with the Young Artist At Play (YAAP) theatre program for youth at the MRT.

Besides her husband, and her mother, Linda is survived by her wonderful daughter Tracy (Mansfield) Desjardins and her husband Steven of Pelham, NH, grandchildren Timothy, Tyler, Alexis, Ashley, Jaid and Tayla. Linda also leaves one great grandchild Riley Desjardins. Two sisters, Janet and Michael Murphy and Sandra Winters, four brothers; Richard and Barbara Mansfield, James and Judy Winters, Jerald and Lauri Winters and John Winters. Patricia Mansfield, Mary Eklund and Tara Travers. Her brothers and sisters in law, Jo-Ann and Richard Haney, James and Ann Trudel, David and Cindy Trudel, Barbara Esposito, Virginia and Roland Morrissette, Steven and Lisa Trudel and Robert and Evelyn Trudel; many nieces and nephews, cousins and her best friends, Dotty, Dolly and Bootsie.

She was predeceased by her daughter Shannon Lee Mansfield in 2009 and brother Billy Mansfield. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

You are invited to her calling hours from 3 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852, 978-458-6816. Her funeral will begin at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m., her funeral Mass will be offered at the Parish of St. Rita at 12 Noon, followed by committal prayers in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Merrimack Repertory Theatre Linda Trudel Endowed Scholarship Fund.
