Leontina L. Silva
TEWKSBURY Leontina L. Silva, 85, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Alfonso C.Silva who died in 2012 after more than fifty years of Marriage.
A daughter of the late Teotonio and the late Diamantina (Lima) Pamplona, she was born July 26, 1932, in Graciosa in the Azores and was raised and educated in that area. In 1960, she came to the United States with her family, making her home in Lowell for many years before moving to Tewksbury.
A communicant of St. Anthony's Church, she was also a member of the Holy Ghost Society. She worked in the Lowell Mills for several years before becoming affiliated with Raytheon Corporation where she worked in Andover for many years. Leontina loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Her survivors include her son, Diojenio Silva and his wife, Maria, of Tyngsboro; her grand daughter, Nicolle M. Silva, and her fiance, Matt Gervais, of Tewksbury; her grandson, Kyle D. Silva of Tyngsboro; her great grandchidlren, Cameron Gervais and Jonny McCarthy of Tewksbury; her sister in law Maria Lima of Lowell, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Sidonio Lima, and the late Maria Pereira and sister in law of the late Manuel Pereira.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED THURSDAY AT ST. ANTHONY'S CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
