Leon J. 'The Greek' Doulames
LOWELL Leon J. 'The Greek' Doulames, 66, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Lowell General Hospital after a lengthy battle with Leukemia. He was the widower of the late Cynthia A. (Narbonne) Doulames who passed away in 2011 after Twenty Five years of Marriage.
A son of the late John Doulames and the late Viola (Doulames) Willy, he was born September 14, 1951, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools.
A lifelong Lowell resident, he made his home in the Acre Section of the City, and as a young man had worked in local foundry and mills before working for Courier Citizen and Joan Fabrics prior to his retirement.
Leon enjoyed time spent with his family. In addition, he enjoyed movies and collecting guns and shooting.
He is survived by his sons Jason Doulames, Christopher and his wife, Nicole, and Stephen Doulames and his fiancee, Joyce Noel, all of Lowell; his five grandchildren, Riley, Madysin, Aiden, Lexie, and Aaron; his closest friend, Larry McMeniman, who was like a brother to him, of Lowell; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
