Laurino Espinola
LOWELL Laurino Espinola, 87, of Lowell, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Radius Northwood Health Care Center. He was the husband of Liduina (Silva) Espinola, with whom he would have celebrated their sixty-second wedding anniversary this coming October
Born March 2, 1924, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was raised and educated in that area and made his home there until 1974 when he moved with his family to the United States, settling in the Back Central Street Neighborhood of Lowell.
Mr. Espinola worked for various shoe shops in the area, retiring in 1986. He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, and a member of Trindade. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Liduina, he is survived by his son, Joel S. Espinola and his wife, Maristela, of Lowell; his grandchildren, Jonathan Espinola and Deidra Deocleciano both of Lowell; his great grandson; his sister, Urselina M. Cunha; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Maria Ataide.
