LOWELL Kou Ung, 81, of Lowell, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at his daughter’s home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Roun Ung.
Born October 28, 1928, in the Province of Kapot, Cambodia. He was raised and educated there and was a rice farmer and a Cambodian Wedding Priest. In 1981, he moved to the United States, settling in Chicago. Later he lived in Eau Claire, Wisconsin before moving to Lowell.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting the Temple
In addition to his wife, Roun Ung, he is survived by his children, Sarine Keo and her husband, Un Chhum, of Lowell, Voeun Keo and his wife Mum Mock, of Chicago IL, Rin Keo and her husband, Pao Dy, of Louisville, KY, and Rim Keo and his wife, Mom Mok, of Bolling Brook, IL; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Vorn Keo, the late Von Keo, and the late Sareth Keo and brother of the late Ein Ung, the late Sroun Ung, the late Nean Ung, and the late Sarom Ung.
