Kevin A. Conlin

LOWELL Kevin A. Conlin, 67, of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Joyce (Jewell) Conlin with whom he shared fifteen years of marriage.

A son of the late Joseph E. and Annabelle (Meade) Conlin, he was born on May 2, 1947 in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with his Bachelor's Degree.

Mr. Conlin served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he held the rank of Specialist 4th Class.
He resided in the Belvidere section of Lowell, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Kevin was employed as a Lieutenant with the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department for 32 years, before his retirement in 2003.
Kevin was a coach for many years with the Lowell Youth Soccer Association and was a soccer and softball coach at Lowell Catholic High School. He enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas, at Saratoga Springs, and at Lake George in New York, where he spent the summers with his family every year. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family, who will miss his genuine and caring heart.

In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by his son, Timothy J. Conlin, a Sergeant with the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department, and his partner, Shelley Daggett of Chelmsford; his two daughters, Courtney B. Furbay and her husband, Justin of Fitchburg, and Kerry A. Gregson and her husband, Alexander of West Warwick, RI; his stepdaughter, Melissa McCormick of Lowell and her fiancé Josh Martin; and his beloved grandchildren, Jasmine, Mia, Aubrey, Jake, Kevin, Ashlyn, Brody, and Bryce. Kevin is also survived by his sisters, Karen S. Cayer and her husband, Donald of Methuen, and Colleen R. Conlin of Dracut; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 15. ON FRIDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 10 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (LOWER CHURCH), 144 EAST MERRIMACK STREET, LOWELL AT 11 A.M.. BURIAL IN LOWELL CEMETERY.
