LOWELL – Kathleen M. (Collins) McDonald, 57, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her home.
She was the wife of Joseph McDonald. Born November 30, 1954 in Lowell, Massachusetts a daughter of the late William C. Collins and the late Shirley Borrelli Ingeme. She received her education in the Lowell School System and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1972.
In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her children Kara (Collins) Silva and her husband Joseph of Tampa, Florida, Matthew Collins of Lowell, and Nickolas McDonald of Lowell; her sisters Susan Olsen and her husband Everett of North Chelmsford, Christine Lagasse of Dracut; her brothers Stephen Collins and his wife Cheryl of Lowell, John Collins of Dracut, Daniel Collins and his wife Susan of Haverhill. Her grandchildren Alexander, Joseph, Manuel, Maranda, Samantha and Joshua Silva and Alexandra Collins; her nephews Bill Olsen, Timothy Collins, Stephen Collins, Christopher Collins, Christian Collins; Nieces, Kristin Olsen Kinglocke, Erin Collins, Kirby Olsen Gardner, Danielle Collins, Kate Olsen Brandes, Remy Collins, Logan Collins, Samantha Collins and Stephanie Collins. She also leaves two aunts and an uncle, Dorothy and Roland Gagne of Methuen and Mary Gallo of Haverhill and several cousins.
Kathleen was predeceased by her daughter Hope, sister Maureen and brother Neil.
You are invited to committal service in the chapel at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd, Chelmsford, MA at 12pm, on Thursday, October 11.
