Beloved Mother, formerly of Lowell
JUNO BEACH, FL Katherine R. (Gallagher) Taylor, 93, of Juno Beach, FL, formerly of Needham and Lowell, MA, died, Thursday, May 28, 2009, in Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred H. Taylor.
Born November 17, 1915, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late John and the late Mary (Leydon) Gallagher, attended the local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School where she was a Girl Officer.
Mrs. Taylor was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Needhan, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She had made her home in Lowell and Needham, Massachusetts, and currently resided in Juno Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her children, Joan (Bartlett) Staveley and her husband, Joseph, of Dunstable, MA; Jack Taylor of Juno Beach, FL and Needham, MA; Charlene M. Crozier of Atlanta, GA and Susanne Dolan of Westwood, MA; nine grandchildren, Nancy (Bartlett) McLeod of Pepperell, Thomas Bartlett of Dunstable, Cheri (Lowre) Burke of Studio City, CA, Deborah (Lowre) McFarland of Peachtree City, GA, Kevin Taylor of Ipswich, Stephen Taylor of Rochester, Danielle Taylor of Phoenix, AZ, Meghan Dolan of Westwood, and Charles T. Dolan of Boston; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews in the Lowell area.
She was predeceased by three brothers Joseph, Francis and Daniel Gallagher, a sister, Josephine Gallagher, a grandson Frederick Bartlett and a great grandson Shane Bartlett.
