Julie A. Hawkins
SALISBURY Julie A. (Higgins) Hawkins, 68, of Salisbury, formerly of Lowell, passed away Sunday, July 5 in Newburyport surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of the late Frank J. Hawkins.
A daughter of the late Thomas F. and the late Mary E. (Kelleher) Higgins, she was born March 31, 1947, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School.
After her marriage to Frank, she relocated to Arizona to raise her family. She then moved back to Massachusetts making her home in Lowell before residing in Salisbury since 1991.
Julie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved music and dancing. She was a huge New England Patriots fan and would schedule her day so that she could watch the game. In addition, she loved Salisbury Beach, and her dog Clancy.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel F. Hawkins with Victoria Chase of Salisbury, Lawrence Hawkins and his wife, Nichole, Michael R. Hawkins and his companion, Jennifer Monahan, of Lawrence, and Leroy F. Fowler III of Salisbury; her nine grandchildren, Jesse Hawkins, Sage Hawkins, Logan Hawkins, Cyrus Hawkins, Gaven Hawkins, Kaden Hawkins, Chase Hawkins, Callen Hawkins, and Leo Fowler; her brother, Thomas W. Higgins of Salisbury; her life partner, Leroy Fowler Jr. of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Theresa Kelleher.
