Judith A. ‘Judy’ (Angove) Baril
Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother
LOWELL Judith A. ‘Judy’ (Angove) Baril, 57, of Lowell, passed away after a long illness, Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was the wife of Joseph A. Baril Jr. with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.
She was born on December 8, 1958 in Lowell and was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. Angove Jr. and the late Lillian D. (O’Neill) Angove. Judy was raised in the Highlands section of Lowell and attended the area schools.
Judy was a lifelong Lowell resident, more recently residing in the Centralville area of the city. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. She was an animal lover, and especially loved her cats, Lucky and Cuddles. She enjoyed day trips to Salisbury Beach. Although she had many passions throughout her life, spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter was the most important to her.
Judy worked in the housekeeping industry for many years before illness forced her retirement.
In addition to her husband, Joseph A. Baril Jr. of Lowell; she is survived by her son, Joseph A. Baril III and his wife, Heather of Wilmington; her daughter, Tammy Y. Baril of Lowell; her foster daughter, Melissa A. Angove and her husband, Brian of Lowell; and one beloved granddaughter, Madison N. Baril, whom she lovingly referred to as her ‘medicine’. She is also survived by two brothers, George L. Angove and his wife, Christine of Lowell, and William Angove and his wife, Laura of Lowell; 3 sisters, Carol Martineau, Donna Maker and her husband, Donald, Mary-Gene Bureau and her companion, Paul Bishop, all of Lowell; a sister in law, Donna Gagne and her husband, Andy of Lowell, Susan Angove of Lowell, Brenda Angove of Lowell, Lorraine Aguiar and her husband, Zeke of Lowell; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Judy was also the daughter in law of the late Joseph Baril Sr. and the late Edna Baril, a sister of the late John "Jack" Angove, Sr., the late Lawrence Angove III, the late Janice D. Reis. She was also the sister in law of the late Brian Reis; godmother of the late George Angove Jr..
Judy’s family would like to thank the staff of the following: Nephrology Associates, Fresenius Medical Care, PrideStar EMS, Home Health VNA, Lowell General Hospital and the office of Dr. George Meltsakos, for without their care and support keeping Judy at home during her illness would not have been possible.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MICHAEL CHURCH, 543 BRIDGE STREET, LOWELL, AT 11:30 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY.
