Joyce Henson
LOWELL Joyce P. (Murray) Henson, 54, of Lowell, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born October 2, 1955, in Winthrop, she was a daughter of the late James and the late Catherine (Masterson) Murray. She grew up in Billerica, and more recently made her home in Lowell before illness forced her to reside at Fairhaven Nursing Home.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children. She enjoyed watching Law and Order and playing Bingo. She made latch hook projects, and also enjoyed spending time with her friends at Fairhaven, participating in the Activities of the Nursing Home where she was a Treasurer for one of the Committees. She had worked as a security guard for the Burlington Mall and more recently had worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover.
Her survivors include her children, Diane Hann of Missouri, Terry Yarrington of Lowell, and Thelma Foppiano and her husband, Rick, of Lowell;her grand daughter, Amber Giering of Lowell; her siblings, Jimmy Murray and his wife, Dorothy, of Chelmsford, Janet Murray of New Hampshire, Jean Murray of Washington, Joseph Murray of Billerica, John Murray of Billerica, and Johanna Murray of North Carolina. She is also survived by many nieces, many nephews and many friends including Gail Boisvert of Lowell.
