Joseph T. ‘Joe’ McQuade
WESTFORD Joseph T. ‘Joe’ McQuade, 80, of Westford, died Thursday, November 13, 2008, at his home after a brief illness.
A son of the late John A. and the late Susan M. (McGirr) McQuade, he was born August 24, 1928, in Lowell, and grew up in the Highlands Section of the City and was educated in the Lowell Schools, graduating from Lowell High School, Class of 1948. He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church.
Joe was a letter carrier for the United States Post Office for thirty years before retiring, and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He enjoyed going for walks, was a fan of all the Boston Sports Teams, enjoyed trips to the Race Track, and listening to talk radio. Spending time with his family was one of his favorite pastimes, but his favorite companions were always his dogs.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary B. (McQuade) Shea of Goffstown, New Hampshire and Joan Lynch and her husband, Thomas, of Princeton, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Catherine C. McQuade and the late John V. McQuade.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MARGARET’S CHURCH AT 9:30 A.M..
