Jose ‘Chequin’ Gonzalez
LOWELL Jose ‘Chequin’ Gonzalez, 56, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
A son of the late Lucilo Gonzalez Sr. and the late Iluminada Rodriquez, he was born January 14, 1962, in Comerio, Puerto Rico, and was raised and educated in that area. He later came to Lowell where he made his home until his death.
He worked in furniture manufacturing for many years for Andover Medical and later worked for Adams Furniture.
Chequin loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was an animal lover and also enjoyed bicycling and could frequently be seen riding his bike. Above all he will be remembered for his warm heart which he shared with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, and as one of eleven children, he is also survived by his brothers and sisters as well as several nieces and nephews and many other extended family and friends.
