Jorge H. Pacheco
LOWELL Jorge H. Pacheco, 70, of Lowell, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 22, 1947 in Terceira, Azores, Portugal and was a son of the late Ernesto Pacheco and the late Urania (de Jesus) Pacheco. He was raised in the Azores where he worked at the boat docks and served in the Portuguese military. In 1980, he relocated to the United States, setting in Lowell, where he worked as a factory worker at Cambridge Tool in Billerica for over 10 years.
Jorge was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of the Portuguese American Civic League ‘the Red’s Club’. He was a passionate soccer fan and a lifelong supporter of Sporting.
He was survived by his children, Ana Kapala and her husband, Gary, George Pacheco and his wife, Jennifer, Paul Pacheco and his wife, Yesica, and Miguel Pacheco and his wife, Michelle Mowat; and his grandchildren, Gary Pacheco III, Jacob Kapala, and Kaira Kapala, Paul Pacheco Jr., Jonathan Pacheco, Joshua Pacheco, Miguel Pacheco, Jr, and Bryanna Pacheco. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Lucinda (Silveira) Pacheco; his great grandchildren, Ayva Kapala, Lilah Kapala, and Jacob Kapala Jr.; his sisters, Manuela Aguiar, Maria de Fatima Marote, and her husband, Eusebio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Circle Home for their kindness and compassion during his final days.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED TUESDAY AT ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL AT 11 A.M.. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL AT WESTLAWN CEMETERY.
