John T. De Sousa
DRACUT John T. De Sousa, 75, of Dracut, passed away after a long illness, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Willow Manor Nursing Home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lizete (Perreira) De Sousa with whom he shared the last 51 years together.
John was born on December 1, 1940 in Faial, Azores, Portugal and was a son of the late Henrique T. De Sousa and the late Silvina M. (Melo) De Sousa. He was raised in the Azores where he received his education before relocating to the United States in 1969 with his wife and daughter. They settled in Lowell before moving to Dracut where he resided until his illness.
John was a communicant of St. Anthony Church. He was employed as a cash register technician for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Lizete, he is survived by his daughter, Paula A. Schomburg and her fiance, Guillermo Sepulveda of Plaistow, NH; his four beloved grandchildren, Nichole, Brittany, Thomas, and Alyssa; and his only grandson, Grayson. He is also survived by his siblings, Ligio T. De Sousa of Dracut, Henry T. De Sousa and his wife, Manuela of Pelham, Manuel T. De Sousa and his wife, La-Sallete of New Bedford, and Antonio T. De Sousa and his wife, Francisca of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

ON TUESDAY, MARCH 15 HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 10 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL AT 11 A.M.
