Johanna ‘Jennie’ Tarallo
LOWELL Johanna ‘Jennie’ Tarallo, 98, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Wingate of Haverhill, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
A daughter of the late Alfonse and the late Sinfarosa (Terrana) Tarallo , she was born January 11, 1920, in Lowell, and was raised and educated in Lowell, attending St. Peter’s Grammar School and Lowell High School. She was a member of the former St. Peter’s Parish as well as a former member of the Italian Club in Lowell. Born into a strong Italian family, she was very active with them in Lowell’s Italian Community. Living until the age of 98, Johanna lived a full active life making the best out of every situation and enjoying the company of friends and family.
Jennie worked for Prince Macaroni as well as for Hynes Electronics and Honeywell Corporation as an assembler. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and also enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City and Foxwoods, playing Bingo, crocheting, and plastic craft work. She will also be remembered for her love of baking.
A sister of the late Santa Saldi, Rosario Tarallo, Dominick Tarallo, and the late Carmella Tarallo, she is survived by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
