Beloved Companion, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother
LOWELL Joan M. (Brooks) Fuller, 74, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her home. She was the companion of Julio Rivera of Lowell for fifteen years.
Born March 14, 1938, in Cambridge, and she was a daughter of the late Alfred Brooks, and Marguerite (Wright) Brooks. She grew up in Brighton and was educated in that area, graduating from St. Columbkille High School in Brighton.
She was a longtime Lowell resident and was a member of the Lowell Senior Center. Joan enjoyed spending time on the computer, especially playing games. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine. She was employed as a assembly person for an electronics company as well as working as a bus monitor for many years.
In addition to her companion, Julio, and her Mother, Marguerite, she is survived by a daughter, Linda Hastey of Kittery, ME; a son, William Fuller of Lowell; a brother, David Brooks and his wife, Marietta of Peabody, MA; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Jane Copeland.
