Jesus Manuel Vega
WORCESTER Jesus Manuel Vega, 38, of Worcester, passed away at his home on Friday, September 4. A son of the late Pablo Vega and the late Felicita (Laboy) Vega, he was born on September 16, 1976 in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. During his childhood, he was raised both in Puerto Rico and in Lowell, receiving his education in Lowell, attending Lowell High School.
He was known for his work ethic, working on demolition ships while in Puerto Rico. He also worked in maintenance and construction while in Lowell and worked at Atamian Volkswagen in Tewksbury as an auto detailer. "Manuelito", as he was known, enjoyed playing basketball, watching sports and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Gabriel Vega of Puerto Rico, his daughter, Belmaris Vega of Chelsea.
His visitation will be held on Friday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852. His funeral service will be held immediately following his visitation at 1p.m. in the funeral home. A procession will follow for his burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell
