Janet Marie McArdle
LOWELL Janet Marie (Bergeron) McArdle, 66, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of John McArdle, with whom she celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past June.
Born March 30, 1943, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Leo J. Bergeron, and the late Marcella H. (Aaron) Bergeron, she was educated in the local schools.
Mrs. McArdle was a lifelong Lowell resident and was a longtime communicant of St. Rita’s Church where she was a member of the Women’s Club. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, reading, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
She worked for H & R Block on Bridge Street for over twenty years and also operated the concession stand at Sacred Heart Church.
Besides her husband, John, she is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Roux of Norwich, Connecticut; a son, Tech Sgt Christopher McArdle of Ward, Arkansas; a grand daughter, Ashley McArdle of Camby, Indiana; sisters, Joan Wilkins of Hudson, New Hampshire, Marcella Rondeau of Lowell, Paula Mansur and her husband, John, of Hudson, New Hampshire, and Mary-Ellen Bergeron-Naper and her husband Mark Naper of Chelmsford; her best friend, Alice McLaughlin of Lowell; and many many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Richard L. Bergeron.
