James Zaharakes
CHELMSFORD James Zaharakes, 62, of Chelmsford, died unexpectedly, Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
A son of Sophia and Christos Zaharakes, he was born January 10, 1949, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Lowell.
Mr. Zaharakes made his lifelong home in Lowell and Florida until two years ago when he moved to Chelmsford, and was a Police Officer for the City of Lowell in the early 1980’s. He had also worked for the telephone company. He was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church.
He is survived by his children Karyn, Kathleen, Casey, and Christopher; his companion, Kathryn M. Nangle of Chelmsford.
