James M. Murphy
CHELMSFORD James M. Murphy, 56, of Chelmsford, passed away, Tuesday, May 10, 2016, after a lengthy illness. He was a son of Sheila A. (Duffy) Murphy of Chelmsford and the late Terence P. Murphy.
Born July 10, 1959, in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was raised and educated in that area. He worked as carpenter in construction throughout the Merrimack Valley.
In addition to spending time with his daughter, Jamie, which brought him the most joy, he loved to read, play chess, and to follow politics.
Besides his mother, Sheila, he is survived by his daughter, Jamie L. Murphy of Champagne, IL and her mother, Robyn Murphy; his sister, Margaret A. Murphy of Groton; his brothers, Terence P. Murphy of Chelmsford and John F. Murphy of Seattle, WA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also a brother of the late Ellen Driscoll.
