James J. ‘Jimmy’ Neiland

LOWELL James J. ‘Jimmy’ Neiland, 66, a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly, Saturday, May 30, 2009, after a brief illness.
A son of the late J. Leo and the late Alice A. (Keegan) Neiland, he was born August 20, 1942, in Lowell was educated in the the local schools, graduating from Keith Academy and served with the United States Air Force.
A lifelong communicant of St. Margaret Church, Mr. Neiland worked as an inspector for 3M in Chelmsford until his retirement. He was an avid traveler throughout his life and he also enjoyed family gatherings.
He is survived by an uncle, Raymond Neiland and his wife, Mary, of Weymouth; cousins, Judith Neiland Lemire of Manchester, NH, Ann Neiland Albano of Middletown, NJ, Raymond Neiland of Temecula, CA, William Neiland of Weymouth, James Michael Neiland of Weymouth, and Mary E. Roarke of Cranston, RI; and several second cousins.
