LOWELL Irene V. Mello, 74, of Chelmsford, formerly of Dracut, died Monday, May 23, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Anthony and the late Florence (Rocha) Mello.
Born December 30, 1936, in Lowell, she was educated in the local schools. She made her home in Lowell, and was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish.
Irene enjoyed sewing, feeding birds, and working with her many friends at Life Links. She also enjoyed her time with her friends and all of the Staff at San Mateo Drive. She shared a special relationship with her sister in law, Kathy, and loved to travel with her.
She is survived by her brother, Anthony L. Mello of Dracut; her nieces, Elaine Tonks of Dracut and Kathy Jo Pelchat and her husband, Robert, of Pennsylvania; her nephew, Michael Mello of Dracut; several great nieces and great nephews, including Walter A. Breault III, Carissa Tonks, Robert Pelchat, Mercedes Mello, Marianna Mello, Michael Mello, and Mason Mello; and several aunts and several uncles.
She was also the sister in law of the late Katherine (McAnespie) Mello.
