Howard F. Gibbons
LOWELL Howard F. Gibbons, 80, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Milosh) Gibbons with whom he celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary this last October.
Born March 15, 1932, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Thomas and the late Madeline (Flynn) Gibbons, and was educated in the local schools. Mr. Gibbons served with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He made his lifelong home in Lowell and worked as a sales representative for Prelco until he retired. He enjoyed playing baseball and managed Mack & Jack’s softball team and played baseball with the U.S. Air Force. He was also very active with Little League.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by a son, Philip Gibbons and his wife, Sherri, of Lowell; a grand daughter Katelyn Brown, and also several nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Thomas Gibbons.
Howard’s funeral was held privately.
