Henry W. Houston Jr.
METHUEN Henry W. Houston, Jr., 86, of Methuen, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, peacefully at his his home. He was a son of the late Henry and the late Bessie (Abel) Houston.
Born September 30, 1930, in Lowell, he was raised and educated in the Lowell Schools. He made his home in Lowell until nine years ago when he relocated to Methuen.
Henry loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grand nieces and grand nephews. He always loved to get out and was very active and enjoyed driving around, especially when it meant he could get a good jelly donut. When not on the road, he liked to read and watch old movies.
He had worked as a custodian for Dunbar Armored Car for many years before his retirement in 2010.
The widower of the late Jeanne (Ducharme) Houston, he is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Dixon and her husband, Bert, of Lowell, Diane Perry of Lowell, and Carol Gilfeather and her husband, Barry, of Salem, NH; his nieces and nephews; and his beloved grand nieces and grand nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Beverly Tatten, the late Melvin Houston, the late Ralph Houston, the late Shirley MacDonald, and the late Louise Erhlich.
