Helen S. Driscoll

LOWELL Helen S. (Kiluk) Driscoll, 90, of Lowell, died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Radius Northwood Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Patrick J. Driscoll who died October 3, 2002.
Born November 29, 1918, in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Alfons and the late Anna (Krutul) Kiluk. She grew up in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School with the Class of 1936

which is remembered by their Class Gift of the Clock on Kirk Street to Lowell High School.

Mrs. Driscoll made her home in the Centralville Section of the City, and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. She worked in the Lowell Mills until her marriage. Later, she worked with Merrimack Opitical, Joan Fabric, and the Bridge Street Dunkin Donuts. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Golf Club where she was active with her husband for many years and enjoyed golfing, knitting, crocheting, and gardening.

She is survived by two daughters, Marsha McGee and her husband, G. Stephen, of Lowell and Nancy Downs of Lowell; her grandchildren, Scott McGee, Jeffrey McGee, Mitzi McGee, Jason Downs, Reagan Downs, and Shaelagh Downs all of Lowell; her great grandchildren, Jennifer McGee, Kane McGee, Gavin McGee, and Avery Downs. She was also the sister in law of Mary Sullivan, John Driscoll, and Evelyn Stringer, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Genevieve 'Ginger' Zipps, the late Edward Kiluk, and the late Honora Sullivan; and mother in law of the late Kevin Downs.
