Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother
LOWELL Helen C. (Butkiewicz) Sheehan, 91, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Friday, September 25, 2009, at Fairhaven Nursing Home. She was the widow of the late Harry F. Sheehan who died in 1972.
A daughter of the late Adam and the late Blanche (Krykoski) Butkiewicz, she was born Ocotober 7, 1917, in Lowell, and attended St. Stanislaus School.
She made her lifelong home in the South End of the City, and was a former member of St. Peter’s Parish and a communicant of Holy Trinity Polish Church. She was also a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa and a patron of the D.L.K.V. In her spare time, she enjoyed Bingo, crafts, puzzles, and word search puzzles. She worked as a mill worker in the Boott Mills and worked as a waitress for many years in the Lowell area.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Sheehan and his wife, Judith, of Independence, MO; a son in law, John Maher of Lowell; grandchildren, Thomas Tetreault and his wife, Diane, of Lowell, Ann Trudel and her husband, James, of Pelham, NH, Patricia Coville of Yarmouthport, Joan Boucher of Lowell, Richard Sheehan and his wife, Barbara, of Lowell, David Sheehan and his wife, Emily, of Mesa, AZ, Thomas F. Sheehan and his wife, Barbara, of Greenwood, MO, and Patrick Sheehan of Phoenix, AZ; 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Richard P. Sheehan, the late Priscilla Maher, the late Roberta Sheehan and grandmother of the late Michael P. Sheehan.
