                                                                                                         Leo Hebert
LOWELL Leo Hebert, of Lowell, died January 29, 2008 at Emerson Hospital in Concord after courageously battling his illness. He was the husband of Lillian (Welch) Hebert, with whom he celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary.
A son of the late Joseph and the late Katherine (Cross) Hebert, he was born in Lowell, and educated in the area schools. He served with the United States Navy Seabees in the South Pacific.
Mr. Hebert was a lifelong Lowell resident and a communicant of St. Rita’s Church. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veteran’s and an active member of the Lowell Senior Center and a former member of the Dracut Senior Center. He was retired from the Greater Lowell Regional Vocational High School after 20 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking but his favorite pasttime was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Lillian, he is survived by two daughters, Leanne M. McNally and her husband, Michael, of Westford, and Lorraine K. Pasciuto and her husband, John, of Dracut; his devoted grandchildren, Katie McNally and Chris McNally both of Westford, and Jessica Pasciuto and Lauren Pasciuto both of Dracut; a sister, Florence Chamberlain of Nashua; sisters in law, Stephanie Hebert of Lowell and Margaret Hebert of Lowell, and former sister in law, Evelyn Bemis; brother in law, Nick Mastas of Lowell; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
He was also the son in law of the late James and Mary Ellen (McGovern) Welch, and brother of the late Albert Hebert, Edward Hebert, Wilmer Hebert, Howard Hebert, Raymond Hebert, Lillian Maloney and Irene Gabardi, and brother in law of the late Mary T. (Welch) Mastas, Anthony C. Welch, James J. Welch, and William P. Welch
