Gertrude M. L. Francisco
"Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother"
LOWELL Gertrude M. L. (Paradis) Francisco, 89, of Lowell, died Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Town and Country Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Victor Lapointe Sr. and the late Raymond Francisco.
Born December 21, 1921, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Adolphus and the late Alice (Beaulieu) Paradis, and was educated in the local schools.
She made her home in Lowell, and was self employed as a hairdresser for over twenty years in the Lowell area.
She is survived by her son, Victor Paul Lapointe and his wife, Mary Lou (Chandler), of Dunstable; her grandsons, Jeffrey P. Lapointe and his wife, Christine, of Pepperell, and Douglas C. Lapointe and his wife, Germaine, of South Carolina; her great grandchildren, Emma Lapointe and Brayden Lapointe of South Carolina; her brother, Vern Paradis of Lowell; her sister, Mrs. Angie Hamel of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews, especially her loving niece, Anna (Francisco) Collupy.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Paradis, Leo Paradis, and Henry Paradis as well as her sisters, Rita Kopicinsky, Alice Beland, Violet Paradis, Jeannette St. Cyr, Beatrice Petros, Sister Edna Paradis, and her deceased sister in law, Esther Francisco.
It being her wish, visitation has been omitted, and burial will take place privately. A celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.
