Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather
LOWELL George R. ‘Butch’ Piper Jr., 72, died November 28, 2014. He was married to Marian (Strykowski) Piper, celebrating their twenty seventh wedding anniversary this past October 25th.
Born September 6, 1942, in Ayer, he was a son of the late Harold and the late Eugenia (Mathaisel) DuLong and the late George R. Piper Sr. He was raised in Woburn and lived in Lowell at the time of his death. He worked at Nonwovens in North Chelmsford for many years.
In addition to his wife, Marian, he is survived by three sons, Michael Piper of Dracut, William Piper Sr. of Dracut, and George Piper III of Greenfield; one step-son, Shane Strykowski of Lowell; and one step-daughter, Shannon Strykowski of Lowell. He is also survived by one brother, Harold DuLong of North Reading; two sisters, Carolyn Harris of Billerica, and Maureen Stokes of Tyngsboro; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
