George Leo Angove Sr.

LOWELL       George Leo Angove Sr., 63, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at his home with his family.   He was the beloved husband of Christine 'Tina' (Connolly) Angove.

      A son of the late Lawrence E. Angove Jr., and the late Lillian D. (O’Neil) Angove, he was born August 25, 1953,in Lowell, was educated in the Lowell schools.  After High School, he joined the United States Army.  After his honorable discharge, he returned to Lowell and worked as a mechanic at Bob Murphy Datsun for many years.  He then attended Middlesex Community College, graduating with a Bachelors Degree as a Para Legal.  

      George made his lifelong home in Lowell, and in addition to family gatherings, he enjoyed video games, wrestling, boxing, billiards, and gambling.

     Besides his loving wife, Christine, he is survived by his children, Kellie Hunt and her husband, Ernie, of Maine, Jason Angove and his wife, Tricia, of Hudson, NH, Jessica Cambell and her husband, Timothy, and Michael Chartier and his wife, Brenda, of Lowell, his daughter in law, Nicole Lambert of Lowell; his nine grandchildren, Kevin, Brandon, Rocco, Justin, Mason, Mark, Lucas, Ariana, and TJ; his great grand daughter, Payton; his brother, William Angove and his wife, Laura, of Lowell; his four sisters, Donna Maker and her husband, Donald, of Lowell, Mary-Gene Bureau and Paul Biship and Jerry Landry, all of Lowell, and Carol Martineau of Lowell; his brothers and sisters in law, Brenda Angove of Lowell, Joseph Baril of Lowell, and Susan Angove of Lowell; as well as many nieces and nephews.

     He was also the father of the late George Leo Angove, Jr., and brother of the late Judith Baril, Janice Reis, the late Lawrence Angove III, and the late John ‘Jack’ Angove

     YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 2 UNTIL 6 P.M. ON SUNDAY.   ON MONDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 10 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.  HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME.  BURIAL IN ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY.
