George Charles ‘Georgie’ Harrington
LOWELL George Charles ‘Georgie’ Harrington, 65, of Lowell, died June 5, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. He was a son of the late John and the late Kathleen (Wheeler) Harrington.
Born November 22, 1942, in Medford, and was educated in the local schools. He moved to Lowell as a teenager, and was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church.
Georgie worked as a laundry technition for Lowell General Hospital for over 39 years before his retirement. He enjoyed having yard sales and playing bingo. He loved listening to Country Western Music and visiting Hampton Beach, Salisbury Beach, and Old Orchard Beach.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Sollinger and her husband, Byron, of Westford and a brother, Paul Harrington and his wife, Carol, of Pepperell; as well as three nieces, two nephews, and many friends. He was also the brother of the late John Harrington and the late William Harrington.
