Gary Francis Maker Sr.
"Lifelong Lowell Resident, Avid Outdoorsman"
LOWELL Gary Francis Maker, Sr., 61, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Wingate of Belvidere after a year long battle with cancer.
A son of the late Helen (Estright) Maker, and brother of the late Richard Maker, he was born January 1, 1953, in Lowell, and was educated in the Lowell School System.
He made his lifelong home in Lowell and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors, in particular camping at the Saco River in Saco, Maine.
Before his retirement, he worked for Joan Fabrics for many years.
He is survived by his sons, Gary Maker, Jr., and his wife, Sherrie, of Lowell, and Joshua Maker of Lowell; his grandchildren, Endorra Maker and Darius Maker both of Lawrence; his former wife, Mary-Ellen Maker of Estero, FL; his brother and sister, Donald Maker and his wife, Donna, of Lowell, Mary Maker of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.
