Frank A. Denver
"WWII Veteran"

LOWELL Frank A. Denver, 89, passed away on Monday, June 23, at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Estelle M. (Leclerc) Denver for the past Sixty Four years.
Born in Lowell on November 16, 1924, he was the son of the late Edward and the late Delia (Mulryan) Denver. Frank was raised in Lowell, graduated from Lowell High School, and attended Massachusetts State College. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Parish.
Frank was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, and served in the Pacific Theater attaining the Rank of Sergeant. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars-Disabled American Veterans.
In his early years, he worked at the Giant Store where he met the love of his life, Estelle. They were married on September 30, 1950. He then went on to work at Cambridge Corp, P. F. Avery, and then for the last twenty nine years prior to his retirement, he worked at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in the Chemical Engineering Department.
Frank was an avid fisherman and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed music, photography, and the Seacoast. He loved going to dances with his wife where they made many lasting friendships.
Frank is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife, Estelle, his three sons, Thomas A. Denver of Dracut, Daniel J. Denver and his significant other, Debbie Howard, of Dracut, and James J. Denver and his wife, Denise, of Tyngsboro and his daughter, Nancy A. McAvoy and her husband, Wayne, of Lowell.
He was a loving and devoted Grandpa to Christian, Leah, and Stefanie Boisvert and Danielle Dos Santos and great grandfather to Alyssa Dos Santos. He is also survived by a sister in law, Connie Leclerc of Methuen, and a brother in law, Paul LeClerc and his wife, Lauri, of Methuen, and a sister in law, Pauline Brousseau of California; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Genell and Catherine Montmarquette.
