Francis Joseph 'Frank the Tank' Lavigne, III
LOWELL Francis Joseph Lavigne, III, 24, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Monday, March 3, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the beloved son of Carolyn (Miele) Lavigne and the late Francis J. Lavigne, Jr. who died in 2012.
Born March 7, 1989, in Lowell, he was educated in the local schools, attending Greater Lowell Technical High School.
He made his lifelong home in Lowell, and enjoyed sports, especially the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was also a fan of the WWE Wrestling, and enjoyed camping, fishing, video games and spending time with family and friends.
For the past five years he worked as a service leader for Hannafords in Tewksbury.
In addition to his mother, Carolyn, he is survived by his sisters, Jennifer Lavigne of Lowell, and Robyn Rowe and her husband, David, of Lowell; his maternal grandmother, Catherine Miele of Chelmsford; his maternal grandfather, Frank Miele and his wife, Dorothy, of New Hampshire; his nieces, Kyra Ly-Lavigne of Lowell, Jayla Lavigne of Lowell, and Maddison Lavigne-Rowe of Lowell; his nephew, David Rowe Jr. of Lowell; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
He was also the grandson of the late Francis J. Lavigne Sr. and Theresa Lavigne.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MICHAEL’S CHURCH, 543 BRIDGE ST, LOWELL AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN LOWELL CEMETERY. DONATIONS TO OFFSET HIS FUNERAL EXPENSES WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH THE FUNERAL HOME.
