Mrs. Frances A. 'Fran' Hodkinson
HILLSBORO, NH Mrs. Frances A. 'Fran' (Ciaravolo) Hodkinson, 93, a lifelong Lowell resident died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her daughter's home in Hillsboro, New Hampshire.
Born October 14, 1921, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Francisco P. and the late Antonina (Bonura) Ciaravolo, was educated in the local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1939.
She formerly resided on Gates Street and Barclay Street, before making her home on Berkeley Ave since 1992, and was a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.
Mrs. Hodkinson had worked for the Ames Worsted for ten years, before becoming affiliated with the Admitting Office at Lowell General Hospital for more than seventeen years prior to her retirement. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Clinic for several years.
The widow of the late Joseph G. Hodkinson who died in 1971, she is survived by two daughters, Judith P. Hodkinson of Nashua New Hampshire, and Paula A. Hodkinson and her wife, Terry Bryand, of Hillsborough, New Hampshire; a sister in law, Helena Ciaravolo of Chelmsford; nieces and nephews, Julie Johnston and her husband, William, of Poquoson, Virginia, Francis Ciaravolo, and his wife, Dianne, of Dayton Ohio, Paul Ciaravolo of Dayton, Ohio, and Amy Bonner and her husband, Sam, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Beth Ciaravolo of Bloomington, Indiana, and many great nieces and great nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Jenney Ciaravolo and the late Antonio J. Ciaravolo and the late Mario Ciaravolo .
