Frances Ann ‘Fran’ Gray
LOWELL Frances Ann ‘Fran’ (Ruggiero) Gray, 50, of Lowell, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, after a lengthy illness.
A daughter of Ignacious Ortiz Sr of Puerto Rico and the late Katherine A. (Ruggiero) Ortiz, she was born November 11, 1963, in Concord, Massachusetts. She was raised in the Concord, Maynard, Tewksbury area, and was educated in the Maynard Schools before attending Shawsheen Valley Technical High School. She was also a former resident of Gloucester before making her home in Lowell.
Fran was a dedicated Elvis Fan. She also loved cats, crossword puzzles, sewing, arts and crafts in general, and cooking. Her favorite pasttime was spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her children, Michael Dinunzio of Lowell, Joseph Dinunzio of Cape Cod, Bonnie Dinunzio of Wilmington, and Erica Dinunzio of North Carolina; her sister, Julie Dinunzio and her husband, Michael, of Wilmington; her brothers, James Ortiz and John Ortiz both of Florida, Ignacious Ortiz and Greg Ortiz and his wife, Ann-Marie, all of Lowell, and Keith Ortiz of Woburn; her former husband, George Gray of Gloucester; her longtime companion, Donald Germain of Lowell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
