"Longtime Lowell Resident"
LOWELL Florence T. Costa, 93 of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Mapleleaf Health Care Center in Manchester, after a long illness.
A daughter of the late Manuel S. and the late Maria J. (Jesus) Costa, she was born August 2, 1921, in Lowell and educated in the local schools attending the Butler Jr. High School.
Florence made her lifelong home on Kinsman Street and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church until declining health forced her to relocate to Manchester, New Hampshire.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, and worked at Heinz Electric, Transonics, and Prince Engineering. She enjoyed taking walks, and in her younger days she also enjoyed dancing. She also spent time going out to eat at various area restaurants. Earlier in her lifetime, she was a member of the Salvation Army.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, including Ramon Roberge of Manchester, NH; and several grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Emily Costa, Hilda Misserville, and Maria Costa.
